Witness and dashcam appeal following serious injury collision in Poole |

Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with relevant dashcam footage to come forward following a serious injury road traffic collision in Poole.
At around 4.50pm on Thursday 26 February 2026 a collision occurred in Blandford Road, near to the junction with Norton Way, involving a black Volkswagen Golf and a bicycle.
Emergency services attended and the cyclist – a man aged in his 60s – was taken to hospital for treatment to injuries that were believed to be serious but not life-changing or life-threatening.
Police Constable Mike Wells, of the Roads Policing Team, said: “We are continuing to investigate the circumstances of this collision and I am keen to speak to any witnesses, as well as anyone with relevant dashcam footage, who have not already spoken to police.
“In particular, from our enquiries we understand there was a man approaching the Carters Quay bus stop at the time of the collision wearing a navy jacket, dark-coloured trousers, baseball cap and rucksack and carrying a white shopping bag. Similarly, there was a delivery rider on a moped in the area at the time.
“I am keen to identify these individuals as they are potential witnesses to the collision and may be able to assist our investigation.”
